Each member of the Carlyle Finance team plays a vital role in delivering a great service for our customers. That's why we are committed to recruiting and supporting the best people.

Our ongoing training and development programme ensures that we keep our team in tip-top condition, always learning and making sure we set the standards for industry best practice. And our employee survey shows that we succeed in creating an engaging working environment: the team rated working here at 87% - a score of just 75% is considered world class!

Today Carlyle Finance employs over 145 people and the team is growing. Heading the team is our management group with more than 300 years of combined industry experience:

• Mark Standish - CEO
o Mark has led Carlyle Finance for over 10 years and is the longest serving CEO in the industry. Previously at Wagon Finance and Forthright, on joining Carlyle Finance he set a goal over a decade ago of ensuring Carlyle Finance is the leading independent finance company in the UK and is proud that the business has now attained that position in many measures. Mark is also a huge basketball fan and has not yet given up hope of playing for the Chicago Bulls!

• Karl Werner - Head of Sales & Marketing
o Previously with Lombard and First National, Karl joined Carlyle Finance in 2003. In the intervening years Carlyle Finance has grown threefold with the support of a hugely talented sales team in the field, in major accounts and an established and experienced management team. Karl is also a Spurs fan and is convinced premiership glory at White Hart Lane is just around the corner.

• Stuart Berry - Head of Insurance & Training
o Previously with First National, Stuart has been with Carlyle Finance for the last ten years and now leads an insurance and CRM department that leads the industry. Originally a Wolves fan Stuart quickly changed his allegiance to the Villa once he saw them play!

• Sharon Howes - Head of IT
o Originally from South Africa, Sharon joined Carlyle Finance in 2006 and has led our IT team to deliver systems and processes that now bring class leading service standards and web technology to the market.

• Wendy Matthews - Head of HR
o Wendy has been with Carlyle Finance for over 10 years and has overseen a HR department that supports a business which has achieved not only 'best in class' staff satisfaction and engagement results but has also recently acquired the Silver Standard Investors In People Award - a feat achieved by less than 600 of the 25,000 accredited businesses in the UK.

• David Briggs - Head of Operations
o Previously with Wagon and First National, Dave has led our operations department to class leading results in terms of service standards and customer satisfaction. Recently retired from playing rugby to a high standard, Dave tries to convince everyone he meets that the real World Cup is played with an egg shaped ball.
