The world of finance has been turned upside down in the last two years.  In the preceding decade, access to finance for most consumers became considered a right; the traditional bank manager and awkward steps to access credit as often typified by Dad's Army's Captain Mainwaring became a distant memory.  The UK economy grew, driven by a credit boom.  Throughout this Carlyle Finance held firm to a focus upon motor finance, developing products and services specific to what for many is their second largest buying decision and working solely through motor dealers to provide a personal, convenient service; convenient because finance is available at the point of sale and convenient because Carlyle has long invested in high quality technology supported by an enthusiastic team of credit professionals at Team Carlyle in our Wales based head office.   

Convenient access to competitively priced loans came to a dramatic halt for very many people with the unprecedented events of the credit crunch.  Throughout the difficult months of the credit crunch Carlyle Finance maintained and indeed increased its lending activity working closely with our motor dealer partners right across the country.  Today as the UK faces up to the challenges of the future, access to personal finance in the wider arena has tightened and interest costs have risen, with so-called 'rate for risk' pricing meaning that the interest rates on the screen or brochure may not be the price upon which a personal loan is accepted.  Motor Finance has held steady and the interest rate quoted, subject to acceptance, is the rate that the customer will enjoy fixed for the agreement length.  The secured nature of the Hire Purchase product is highly appropriate to car finance and the showroom remains a great place to talk through the sometimes confusing range of finance options for consumers looking to establish what is best for them.
