Q. Can I deal with you directly?

A. We offer all of our financial services through our motor dealer partners because we believe that this is by far the most competitive and convenient option for you, the customer. By organising your finance with the support of the dealership we can ensure that you get a tailored finance option, with approval normally in less than an hour.

Q. What is the benefit to me of organising my loan with you through the dealer?

A. We have trained many of our dealer partners to understand and recommend the most appropriate of our finance products for your specific circumstances. Using the fast, secure, electronic interface we provide for them, your dealer can normally supply you with a competitive offer within 30 minutes. And, due to the nature of our finance products, you enjoy a higher level of consumer protection than you would through an unsecured personal loan. That's three benefits: good advice, a competitive product, and a very quick response.

Q. How much will I pay?

A. Your monthly payment will depend on what vehicle you are buying, how much you want to borrow and over what period. Our motor dealer partners will be able to offer you a choice of quotations based on different products and terms. Rates are fixed from the outset so that you can budget confidently going forward.

Q. I have a poor credit history - can you help?

A. If you have a poor credit profile and have had issues with meeting your financial commitments previously, it is unlikely that Carlyle Finance can help. It is always advisable to talk to your dealer about your circumstances, so they can advise you which might be the best financial provider for your needs.

Q. Can I protect my loan with an insurance product?

A. Some of our dealer partners can advise you on how to protect your loan with a choice of insurance options. Our Customer Service Centre team are fully trained to discuss your insurance needs; they can be contacted on 08451 703 307.

Q. Can I drive away the same day I buy the car?

A. If the car is ready, and you have the right paperwork, then almost certainly. We will normally organise your finance while you wait, subject to approval, and the dealer will be able to advise you if they can prepare the car for you within the same day. You will need to have with you proof of identity and address in order for the finance agreement to be set up. This will include a full drivers licence and a paid utility bill, so please take these with you to the showroom.

Q. Won't I get a better deal if I pay cash?

A. This is rarely the case and is regarded as an 'urban myth' within the motor trade. How you pay for the car is not really relevant to the price of the car. Quite often motor dealers are happier to organise the funding for you with Carlyle Finance due to the speed and convenience of our service. Organising your own loan can often take up to two weeks and delays the delivery of the car.

Q. What if there is something wrong with the car?

A. Unlike a personal loan provider or bank we take an active interest in your satisfaction with the car you purchase. If you are dissatisfied with the car you have bought we will work with your supplying dealer to ensure a suitable outcome.
