Our Heritage

Founded almost 40 years ago in Cardiff, Carlyle Finance is proud to have steadily grown in scale and reputation. The business continues to be based in Cardiff and has recently invested in new premises - 'The Centre of F & I Excellence' on the outskirts of the city.

In 2006 the successful Carlyle Finance business was acquired by WesBank, itself part of the FirstRand Banking Group of South Africa; it has been a tremendous fit; with our shared values and customer focus Carlyle Finance is now part of a global financial services player.

Today the business combines the strength of a global player with the nimbleness and autonomy of a local organisation; it is a formula that works brilliantly.
